Duitin started as a movement dedicated to simplifying waste sorting, collection, and management to give recyclable materials a “second life” through recycling. Recognizing that limited access to recycling services and information is a major challenge, Duitin leverages digital platforms to connect waste producers, pickers, and waste banks.
By inviting all levels of society to participate, Duitin aims to foster a collective effort to build a clean Indonesia. As for now, Duitin has recycled more than 890 tonnes of recyclable waste across 12 different categories.
In late 2022, I was invited to join Duitin as an advisor, focusing on product development, growth strategy, and organizational improvement. Duitin initially began as a waste pick-up service and later expanded to include a management tool for waste banks.
Serving as an advisor to Duitin has been a transformative experience, deepening my understanding of the complexities of sustainability-focused ventures.
Reflecting the commitment to applying my expertise in product and growth strategy, my involvement in these collaborative projects underscores the commitment to fostering innovation and sharing expertise to support global technology-driven and sustainable solutions.
I guided the company in evolving its identity from a waste management platform into a data-driven enterprise. The focus shifted toward collecting and analyzing waste data from households, SMEs, and regional waste banks to generate actionable insights.
Conducted a comprehensive review of the existing organizational structure, identifying areas for improvement to support scalable growth.
Collaborated with Duitin's leadership to define annual targets, translating them into actionable OKRs to guide the team effectively. I also introduced frameworks to monitor these metrics and adjust strategies based on data-driven insights.
Provided ongoing advisory support for their Series A fundraising efforts, including reshaping their pitch deck to appeal to investors, and calculating potential valuation from their financial projection and historical performance.
Duitin participated in the ASEAN-Korea Startup Innovation Week 2024, I assisted in preparing their pitch deck and speech for the event, ensuring that the company's vision, achievements, and potential were communicated effectively.
